THE MONTH AT MCHI

April 2017

Meeting with AAI various issues of Real Estate

Updating about the meeting with AAI, Shri Boman Irani informed that a lot of operational process has been oriented and further height related issues were also discussed. It was also discussed to streamline some procedures and remove the redundant ones. Further these procedures will be put up with the Civil Aviation Ministry for consideration and revision. With regard to height related issues, they have noted down MCHI’s technical representations along with demand for justification from their side. They have noted down MCHI’s concern and have agreed to provide point-wise update in the next meeting which would be scheduled in mid-April.

In Court case, the Order has been passed whereby allowing IHS (within 4KMS) : Aeronautical study to be carried out and Funnel/Approach surface area not to be done.

OHS/CONICAL surface (beyond 4KMS) : no direction/clarification from Court on benchmarking of reference height as sought by them, so status quo. After studies are conducted, report to be submitted to Court for further Orders. No NOCs to be issued in the meanwhile. Interpretation of Court order is crucial similar to previous orders.

In view of the above, MCHI submitted the representations to Civil Aviation Minister and other officials and looking forward for meeting with them to expedite these issues at the earliest.
