CREDAI – MCHI Meets IGR at Pune |
CREDAI – MCHI delegation led by Mr. Boman Irani, VP, along with Managing Committee Members Mr. Nayan Bheda and Mr. Dhaval Ajmera, and Member, Mr. Ankit Doshi, supported by Mr. Avadhoot Rane, General Manager and Mr. Sanjiv Chaudhary, Head – Research met Mr. Anil Kawde, IAS, Inspector General of Registration & Controller of Stamps (IGR), and Mr. Sudhakar Naganure, Jt. Director (Evaluation & Town Planning), IGR office in Pune on 29th May, 2017 to discuss the matter pertaining to Land ASR rates. Earlier CREDAI – MCHI’s efforts bore fruits following the meeting with Government of Maharashtra where freezing of Ready Reckoner (RR) rates for land was considered. A revised proposal was sent by the Principal Secretary, Revenue Department to Hon’ble Chief Minister on the basis of CREDAI- MCHI’s representation to freeze the ASR rates for a period of one month.
In this follow-up meeting with IGR in Pune on the 29th May, to discuss the flaws in their basis of arriving at land rates, the delegation pushed thru the point of RR being high on land rate and that the very process was flawed and required a thorough audit. Points of increase in Residential rates and anomalies therein were also discussed at length.
While the Secretariat is constantly providing updates on the matter, besides evaluating a possibility of engaging a third party to arrive at and suggest a more scientific approach for determining ASR. |
