An Operative DCPR 2034, knowledge seminar was organized by PEATA supported by CREDAI-MCHI on 3rd December 2018 .The knowledge seminar was attended by more than 1800 attendees.There was felicitation of various dignitaries, Sri Ajoy Mehta, Shri Vinod Chittore Shri Sanjay Darade, Shri Rajendra Zope and Shri Nayan shah. The key MCGM team members responsible for EoDB were specially felicitated.There was a detailed presentation of the Operative DCPR 2034, post sanction of E P and Corrigendum dt 12 nov 2018, by the representatives of PEATA. During his address, Hon’ble Municipal Commissioner, while outlining the 6-point mantra for Architects to follow in life beyond the DCPR, also announced that he had approved and signed the transition which shall come into effect from tomorrow.
Shri Ajoy Mehta asserted the need to look beyond the DCR. The Architects and Engineers should also take a responsibility of looking into the aspect of making designs that would facilitate tailor made homes as per the requirements of end users. He emphasised the need of building design aesthetics along with street scape themes. In doing so, he emphasised the importance of environmental balance, as climate change had become a reality, while designing the buildings.
