A delegation of GenNext represented by Ms Shraddha Goaradia, Ms Ashna Ajmera,
Ms Pooja Patel and Ms Ayushi Asher also met Shri Gupta.
Under the leadership of Shri Bandish Ajmera Ms Shraddha Goradia took the lead and briefed Shri Gupta about the Apprenticeship program which CREDAI-MCHI propose to take up on priority by undertaking skilling programs on our member’s sites which would include students from Engineering Colleges and ITI & other institutions.
Shri Gupta suggested bringing on board 5-10 big Real Estate groups who would undertake Skilling program, to be in sync with the concept of Hon’ble Prime Minister’s Kaushal Vikas Yojana. He proposed to assign a dedicated officer to address the challenges coming your way. There is a quantum jump in the skilling initiative with not only Engineering Colleges being covered by also ITIs and other Skill development institutes. The ambit has been expanded towards simple graduates/ non-graduates who need skilling in various fields.
The second point on his agenda was about the introduction of Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) for which Government has earmarked Rs. 500 crores where very basic / non-formal skilled would be honed to become a construction industry ready labour force. He proposed that CREDAI-MCHI should design mass skilling course of various durations where practical training along with classroom training would be imparted. This program should be on lines of Sakal adopted one for the training of farmers.
The third proposal was for Skilling University, for which he proposed that CREDAI-MCHI should take initiative in the direction. The help from Government would be granted in the form of Fee payment of the skilling students. He also assured about the permissions required for the same. Initially, 40-50 skill sets can be developed in the University.
Summing up the same, Hussain Sir suggested that we will begin with the first proposal of Mr Gupta where we will identify 5-10 Real Estate groups and start imparting skill development programs for their workers. It was also proposed to arrange a meeting with the HR Heads of the selected groups with an expert to guide them in this area.
One big step in the direction has already been taken with this meeting.
