First Western Region Meet of RERA was held in Pune on September 10, 2018, which was attended by MahaRERA Chairman, Mr Gautam Chatterjee, RERA Chiefs of MP, Rajasthan, Goa and Gujarat and Mr Durga Shanker Mishra, IAS, Secretary, Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs, Govt. of India. Deliberations were held to identify solutions to the problems in implementations of RERA, which were discussed with a view to find common points for changes in the act to be carried out before 30th April 2019.
Speaking on the occasion as Chief Guest, Hon’ble Union Minister of State for Housing and Urban Affairs, Shri Hardeep Singh Puri, said: All States should live up to the standards set by State of Maharashtra which leads the country not only in Registration but also in complaint redressal. With more than 17,000 projects and 14,000 Real Estate Agents registered under MahaRERA, the state has achieved 70% success in complaint redressal.
Appreciating MahaRERA, Hon’ble Minister added: State is leading from the front, hopefully once all the States register, it will be able to give the necessary boost to the sector by creating a win-win situation for both – developers and home buyers.
The workshop witnessed the presence of CREDAI President Mr Jaxay, President, ( Elect ) Mr Satish Magar and CREDAI - MCHI MahaRera Committee Chairman Mr Rajesh Prajapati and CREDAI-MCHI CEO Mr S.S. Hussain, IAS (Retd.).
Mr Hussain shares that deliberations lasted for nearly seven hours, which were very knowledgeable, educative and informative.
