An evening of Women Empowerment by CREDAI MCHI Women’s Wing

The evening witnessed highly charged Educative Interactive Session with young Woman Achievers and Entrepreneurs, who have made a mark in their respective fields with sheer determination. CREDAI-MCHI Women’s Wing welcomed and hosted Ms Poonam Gundecha, Educationist & Entrepreneur and Ms Priyanka Khimani, Partner Law Firm Anand & Anand & Khimani Associates, & Celebrity Lawyer who has Who’s Who of the entertainment industry on her client list. The panel was moderated by equally accomplished & achiever in her own right, Ms Richa Shah.

Ms Richa seamlessly navigated some very pertinent questions to them, and some of the answers were quite a revelation to the audience.
The gathering witnessed equally empowered women – the members of CREDAI – MCHI of Women’s Wing along with GEN Next of Realty Business Houses, who are playing an instrumental role in their family businesses. The discussion moved from their initial journey to the struggles & challenges it brought along to succeed. Though coming from well-placed Realty Business House, Gundecha Group, Poonam Gundecha had to fight on both fronts – internal and external, before accepting a most challenging role as Marketing & Sales Head of Gundecha Group.

Priyanka had some interesting anecdotes to share like no one took her seriously who could contest such complicated cases pertaining to intellectual property rights etc. which will change the course of the entertainment industry. She also shared how women lawyers are being perceived in the society. She ironed it out all with her dynamism and determination to succeed in her field. She surprisingly noted that why there were few men in the gathering?

Members fielded some interesting questions to them which were happily and articulately answered by them.

One thing was clear, that they too had conquered internal battles to overcome external struggles.

Ms Poonam & Ms Priyanka admitted that family support system is very crucial to succeed in the outside world and both had very supportive families all through.

CREDAI – MCHI Women’s Wing Health Camp

Taking forward the agenda of providing healthy living & tobacco-free life to construction workers on our members’ sites, Women’s Wing has organised series of cancer awareness and dental check-up camps which have immensely benefitted the construction workers.

One such camp was held today – September 04, 2018, at Waves Hotels and Estates Pvt Ltd. by Gundecha Developers in Andheri East, conducted by Ms Jayalaxmi of Vasantha Memorial Trust, who is doing pioneering work with cancer patients.

Health camp started with traditional lamp lighting and singing of prayers by Ms Jayalaxmi and members Mrs./s Anuradha Shah, Sonal Shah Sejal Goradia, , Mona Ajmera and Jesal Shah.

Ms. Jayalaxmi’s motivational talks on cancer awareness and inspiring workers to quit tobacco was much appreciated by the participating workers. She also presented an audio-visual showing harmful effects of tobacco and why one should and how one can give up tobacco. Not only this, Dr Gunjan Thakkar ,Dr Chitrang and Dr Khushi team conducted dental check-up of over 80 workers and suggested effective remedies to them.  

It is always very satisfying to see so many happy workers who inspired by our camps pledge never to use tobacco again and lead tobacco-free life.

Tree – Plantation at Mayfair Aassan, Aasangaon

Women’s Wing has the credit of planting around 6000 trees till now at various places like Beaches, Colleges, Schools, Promenade and Housing Projects etc. The plans are aboard to undertake CSR activities encompassing Green, Clean & Skilled initiatives by Women’s Wing for this year also.

Taking the green initiative, a notch above, Women’s Wing planted over 100 saplings today at Mayfair Aasaan, Aasangaon, the residential property of Mayfair Housing designed considering affordability & convenience & ease of life at affordable price points. The meticulously planned structure sets the project apart from other residential flats in Asangaon. Now with greenery inside with the massive drive of over 100 tree – plantation, Mayfair Aasaan, the project becomes class apart.

Speaking about the tree plantation activity at Mayfair Aasaan, Mrs Anuradha N Shah, Chairperson, CREDAI-MCHI says, “We, at Women’s Wing, fulfil our Corporate Social Responsibility in true letter & spirit. We have embarked on a mission to plant sapling all over Mumbai & MMR at choicest of places. Mayfair Aasaan has been identified to plant saplings owing to its location and our mission to offer enhanced quality of life to its residents.”
