CREDAI – MCHI had a very fruitful meeting with ACS Revenue, Shri Manu Shrivastav at Mantralaya on September 21, 2018. The meeting was led by our President Shri Nayan A Shah along with Shri Sandeep Runwal, Shri Shailesh Puranik, Shri Suhas Merchant, Shri SS Hussain, Shri Avadhoot Rane and Shri Sanjeev Chaudhary.
All the issues in the CREDAI-MCHI Action Plan affecting Stamp Duty were taken up at length with Shri Shrivastav, who patiently heard our plea and also gave his valuable suggestions on the way forward for the Chamber.
- On Shri Merchant’s plea, the footnotes in the ASR were creating ambiguity and pain, Mr Shrivastav suggested that a detailed report is submitted on the footnotes which he would review and take necessary action.
- While empathizing with the pain the industry was going through, he strongly suggested that for all the issues combined, the chamber should submit a memorandum to the Hon’ble Chief Minister highlighting the need for a Special Rehab Package for Real Estate.
- On the payment of unearned premium in Thane at the time of conveying to Society, Shri Shrivastav suggested that Chamber should write to the department seeking clarification on the matter.
