A very fruitful meeting with Shri Satish Gavai (I.A.S.), Principal Secretary of Environment, Govt. of Maharashtra was held on May 5, 2016 to discuss the pending with important issues of Real Estate Industry. The meeting was attended by Shri Dharmesh Jain - President, Shri Mayur Shah, President - Elect, Shri Nainesh Shah - Hon. Secretary, Shri Lakshman Bhagtani - Hon. Joint Secretary, Shri S. S. Hussain - CEO and Shri Avadhoot Rane - General Manager.

In this meeting, regarding SRA projects, CREDAI-MCHI informed that proposals could not be taken up under this 51-49 scheme because of practical difficulties faced, while implementing this scheme for the slum area. In response to that, the Principal Secretary, Shri Satish Gavai suggested to the CREDAI-MCHI's delegation to propose some alternatives and way forward, so that desired Housing stock could be created by the Government. Shri Satish Gavai, Principal Secretary, (Environment) who had a positive outlook and had noted all the issues that were represented on behalf of CREDAI-MCHI.

President highlighted some of the points that were represented i.e. With regard to concept plan the committee should not go beyond the DCR plan; the frequency of the meetings of the committee to be increased; SGNP issue needs to be taken up and followed up with the MoEF for considering the National Park Boundary as the Eco-sensitive zone limit.
