Meeting on Draft Registration Bill

A meeting on the Draft Registration Bill, represented by State and Central Government officers, was held on August 4, 2025. Shri Keval Valambhia – Chief Operations Officer, Shri Harish Gupta – AGM (Secretariat), and Shri Sanjay Phope – Sr. Executive attended the meeting on behalf of CREDAI-MCHI.

Courtesy meeting Hon’ble Environment Minister Smt. Pankaja Munde

A courtesy meeting was held with Hon’ble Environment Minister Smt. Pankaja Munde on August 12, 2025. The meeting was attended by President – Shri Domnic Romell, Hon. Secretary – Shri Dhaval Ajmera and Shri Rushi Mehta – incoming Hon. Secretary to discuss key matters related to environmental policy and sustainable development.

Towards a Progressive Revenue Ecosystem: CREDAI-MCHI Engages in High-Level Policy Dialogue

Key meetings were held with Smt. Anchal Goyal (I.A.S.), Collector, Mumbai City on August 7, 2025, and with Shri Saurabh Katiyar (I.A.S.), Collector, Mumbai Suburban District on August 11, 2025, to discuss critical reforms in Maharashtra’s revenue administration system. These discussions were aimed at supporting the state’s transformation into a developed economy by 2047.

The focus was on building a progressive, transparent, and stakeholder-friendly revenue ecosystem to unlock economic growth and ease regulatory hurdles for the real estate sector.

Key highlights included:

  • Transparency & Predictability: Emphasis on issuing clear and consistent land-related rules to eliminate delays caused by ambiguous procedures—particularly in Non-Agricultural (NA) land permissions.
  • Digital Transformation: Advocacy for complete automation of revenue services to enhance efficiency and minimize human intervention.
  • Time-Bound Approvals: Recommendations to enforce strict timelines for all clearances to reduce project delays and cost escalations.
  • Royalty on Excavated Earth: Reiterated the need for a binding circular in line with the Supreme Court’s ruling to prevent unnecessary royalty demands.
  • Property Card Portal: Called for robust digital infrastructure to ensure seamless access and legal acceptance of digitally signed property records.
  • Land Subdivision Reform: Urged fast-tracking of SOPs to regularize informal land subdivisions and modernize land mapping through GIS and drone technology.
  • Regularization of Government Land: Recommended rationalizing premiums and streamlining digital processes for converting Class II land to freehold.
  • Long-Term Vision: Envisioned a unified land governance framework, integrated land information systems, and proactive land banking to enable sustainable and affordable urban growth.

CREDAI-MCHI Hosts Grand Change of Guard Ceremony

CREDAI-MCHI held its prestigious Change of Guard Ceremony on August 14, 2025, marking a significant transition in its leadership.

Shri Sukhraj Nahar, Chairman of Nahar Group, formally took over as the President of CREDAI-MCHI, succeeding Shri Domnic Romell of Romell Group. This transition signifies the continuation of a strong legacy and the beginning of a new chapter for the organization.

Also stepping into a key leadership role, Shri Rushi Mehta from Neelyog Group assumed the position of Hon. Secretary, taking charge from Shri Dhaval Ajmera of Ajmera Group of Companies.

In addition to the main leadership change, the event also marked the transition of leadership within the Women’s Wing of CREDAI-MCHI. Ms. Alka Doshi was appointed as the new Chairperson, ushering in a fresh vision and commitment towards empowering women in the real estate sector.

Meanwhile, Shri Samyag Shah from Marathon Group was named the new Convener of the CREDAI-MCHI Youth Wing, bringing youthful energy and fresh perspectives to the forefront.

The event was graced by several eminent dignitaries, including:

Adding a powerful touch to the evening, renowned Hindi poet, lecturer, and former politician Shri Kumar Vishwas delivered an inspiring motivational speech, leaving the audience energized and reflective.

This ceremonial event not only celebrated the achievements of outgoing leaders but also set the tone for a dynamic future under the new leadership of CREDAI-MCHI.
