Meeting of the Conciliators Core Committee
MahaRERA Conciliation Meeting was held in person at the MahaRERA Office at Bandra on 15th July 2021. The meeting was convened by MahaRERA Secretary, Dr. Vasant Prabhu, and MahaRERA Officials, CREDAI-MCHI, NAREDCO & Mumbai Grahak Panchayat (MGP). CREDAI-MCHI was represented by Shri. Raajesh Prajapati, Shri. Satish Kumar.
The following was discussed in the meeting:
To ensure that 1st hearing takes place within 15 days, after the Notice of 7 days, for all Referred Cases by
MahaRERA. So 1st hearing is to take place within a
timeframe of the total of 21 days
- A revised MIS template to be provided by MahaRERA to update the hearing reports.
- To upload Rozanama daily to enable MahaRERA to know the active cases
- Complainants who do not respond for lining up cases need to write to MahaRERA that they do not wish to participate.
To follow a standardized format for the settlement. It was also decided to put a provision or system in place for reviving all the stalled projects. Furthermore, matters related to MahaRERA Compliances were discussed too:
All unsold parking slots to be attached to the flats
- For Quarterly Compliances, fixed timelines, similar to filing IT returns,will come into force.
- Stricter compliance watch on society formation and conveyance.
- Insisting on consent from 51% of existing buyers concerning the extension of the project in liew of the second wave.
Welcome the new MahaRERA Chairman -Shri Ajoy Mehta
The CREDAI-MCHI team was led by President Shri Deepak Goradia and Vice President Shri Domnic Romell, Secretary, Shri Pritam Chivukula, Maharera Taskowner, Shri Raajesh Prajapti and Member Shri Kunal Chheda visited MahaRERA Office to welcome the new MahaRERA Chairman Shri Ajoy Mehta.
MahaRERA Self-Regulatory Organisation (SRO)
A meeting was held with MahaRERA Chairperson Shri Ajoy Mehta (Retd. IAS), Shri Satibir Singh, Dr. Vasant Prabhu with 6 SRO’s i.e. CREDAI-MCHI, CREDAI-Maharashtra, NAREDCO, Builders Association of India Maharashtra State (BAI), Marathi Bandhkam Vyavasik Association (MBVA), Brihanmumbai Developer Association (BDA).
