Meeting with Hon. Environment Secretary, Jayshree Bhoj on January 19, 2026

The Joint Task Force led by Sukhraj Nahar, President, CREDAI-MCHI, held a marathon and highly productive meeting with the Hon. Environment Secretary, Jayshree Bhoj, along with her entire team.

This joint meeting, attended by representatives from NAREDCO, BDA, and PEATA, witnessed strong participation and representation from all associations.

Representing CREDAI-MCHI at the meeting were Shri Bandish Ajmera (President-Elect), Shri Pritam Chivukula (Senior Vice President & Environment Task Owner), Shri Dhaval Ajmera (Vice President), Shri Rushi Mehta (Hon. Secretary), Shri Prashant Khandelwal, Shri Naman Shah, Smt. Priya Gurnani, and Shri Keval Valambhia (COO, MCHI).

Wide-ranging and in-depth discussions were held on several key issues impacting the sector, details of which are reproduced below for members’ ready reference. It was further proposed to constitute a Joint Task Committee that would meet periodically with the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change to address policy-level and procedural matters on an ongoing basis.

The Hon. Environment Secretary was extremely receptive, positive, and supportive of the concerns raised by the industry. A follow-up meeting of the Joint Task Committee is proposed to further deliberate on these issues and work towards their timely and logical resolution.

Where Decisions Meet Delivery — The Launch of ‘Pitch to Biz’

A first-of-its-kind initiative conceptualized by the CREDAI-MCHI Procurement Wing

In a significant step toward redefining procurement engagement in real estate, CREDAI-MCHI introduced “Pitch to Biz – Where Procurement Decides the Future”, a first-of-its-kind initiative conceptualized by its Procurement Wing. The event, held on 22nd January 2026 at the Jio World Convention Centre, was launched under the leadership of Mr. Nimish Ajmera, Convenor – CREDAI-MCHI, and the presidentship of Mr. Sukhraj Ji Nahar, and was followed by CREDAI-MCHI’s flagship networking platform, Biznet.

Representing over 200 developers across the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR), CREDAI-MCHI continues to play a pivotal role in shaping the region’s real estate ecosystem. The Procurement Wing serves as a strategic forum that brings together developers, directors, and procurement heads who drive critical decisions related to product selection, vendor partnerships, and execution strategies across active and upcoming projects.

Pitch to Biz was designed as a focused, interaction-led platform where construction and allied brands could present their products directly to real estate decision-makers. Moving beyond traditional one-way presentations, the format encouraged open dialogue and meaningful discussions around real project requirements, with conversations centred on:

Execution capability on site
Sales support, service & warranty
Supply strength and reliability
Ability to scale across multiple projects

The core objective of the initiative was to enable developers to discover practical, dependable solutions that can be implemented on real projects, while allowing brands to gain deeper insight into on-ground expectations and procurement priorities.

Celebrating the NXT GEN Leaders Redefining India’s Real Estate Future

In a landmark celebration of leadership, vision, and enterprise, CREDAI-MCHI, in association with Jaquar, presented “The BOLD – Builders of Legacy & Dreams”—a first-of-its-kind recognition platform dedicated to honouring the NXT GEN leaders of India’s real estate industry, powered by KNEST.

Held on 22nd January 2026 at the Jio World Convention Centre, the event was conceptualised as the shared vision of President Shri. Sukhraj Nahar-ji, Secretary Rushi Mehta and Youth Wing Convenor Shri. Samyag Shah. The platform was designed to spotlight young leaders under 40 who are not just developing real estate projects but are actively shaping the future of the industry with clarity, courage, and conviction.

The evening was envisioned as more than just an awards ceremony—it was a tribute to intent, execution, and responsibility. It celebrated individuals who have stepped forward early in their professional journeys, taken ownership of their roles, and demonstrated the promise of long-term leadership and nation-building through real estate.
