CREDAI-MCHI successfully organized an insightful workshop on “Building for Heat Resilience – Climate-Responsive and Passively Cooled Buildings for a Low-Carbon Future” on 20th February 2026 at the MCHI Office, Maker Bhavan 2, Mumbai.

The session was conducted by Ms. Saswati Chetia, Director, Greentech Knowledge Solutions Pvt. Ltd. (GKSPL), who shared valuable expertise on building energy efficiency, sustainable development, and climate-responsive design strategies aligned with India’s net-zero goals.

A total of 33 developer members attended the workshop and gained practical insights into passive cooling techniques, regulatory compliance under ECSBC and ENS, real-world case studies, and the financial and long-term benefits of sustainable building practices.

The interactive session highlighted the growing importance of climate resilience and energy efficiency in real estate development and equipped participants with actionable knowledge to design future-ready, low-carbon buildings.

MCHI Premier League - MPL 12 Pre-Launch Party

The Pre-Launch Party of MPL 12 was held on 25th February 2026 at Jio World Trade Centre, under the guidance of Shri Sukhraj Nahar (President), Shri Rushi Mehta (Hon. Secretary), and Shri Shailesh Sanghvi (Hon. Sports Convener). The event was graced by Celebrity Guest Ms. Ayushree Malik, Miss Supranational India 2025.

A total of 8 developer member teams are participating in MPL 12, scheduled to be held on 27th and 28th February 2026, with the final match on 1st March 2026. The pre-launch event marked an enthusiastic beginning to the tournament, fostering camaraderie and sportsmanship among members.

Meeting with Chief Engineer (DP), BMC

A meeting with Shri Sunil Rathod, Chief Engineer (DP), BMC, was held on 26th February 2026 as part of the first Steering Committee meeting initiated by MCGM, attended by senior officers including Chief Fire Officer Shri Ravindra Ambulgekar and members of the Joint Task Force.

CREDAI-MCHI was represented by Shri Rushi Mehta (Hon. Secretary), Shri Jitendra Mehta (Sr. Vice President), Shri Hussain Lalani (Jt. Treasurer), Shri Chintan Sheth (Invitee Member), Shri Keval Valambhia (COO), along with secretariat representatives and members.

During the meeting, various points regarding real estate sector were discussed in detail. Key discussions included policy-related matters, the issue of retrospective charging of fire service fees (2015–2022), and approvals under Regulation 33(12). The Chief Fire Officer agreed to re-examine the fire service fee matter and seek legal opinion, while updates on ward-wise road nomination data were shared, with approvals expected to be streamlined within 7–10 days.

These monthly steering committee meetings aim to resolve long-pending industry issues through continuous coordination and structured dialogue between MCGM and CREDAI-MCHI.
