Meetings held in the month of Feb 2024
Meeting with Shri Bhushan Desai (Dy. Chief Engineer, Planning, MHADA) on February 6, 2024.
An introductory and welcome meeting was held with Shri Bhushan Desai, the Dy Chief Engineer, Planning, MHADA.
The meeting was attended by Shri Umang Kuwadia, Shri Ricardo Romell, Shri Keval Valambhia, and Shri Shovir Irani.
We welcomed Mr. Desai and discussed pending issues of 33(5), including premium charged on rehab component, Premium on rehab Fungible, discrepancy in Open space deficiency charged on Sale and rehab, parity between 33(9) and 33(5) for development of MHADA plots, infrastructure charges, etc.
Shri Desai responded positively to all queries and assured support for a logical conclusion.
Meeting with Shri H S Sonavane, Inspector General of Registration and Controller of Stamp, Maharashtra State (IGR), on February 6, 2024.
The meeting was attended by Shri Vijay Lakhani, Dr. Advocate Shri Harshul Savla, Shri Ricardo Romell, Shri Prashant Khandelwal, and Shri Keval Valambhia.
Issues of Double Stamp duty in Navi Mumbai/CIDCO region, Stamp Duty being charged on 1.5 FSI, and Stamp duty benefit under Section 4(1) of the Maharashtra Stamp Act for PAAAs under Regulation 33 of DCPR 2034 across MHADA were discussed.
The Hon’ble IGR agreed to address both issues positively.
Meeting with Shri Pravin Darade, Principal Secretary, Environment on February 28, 2024.
Team CREDAI-MCHI, led by President Shri Domnic Romell and Hon. Secretary Shri Dhaval Ajmera, met Shri Pravin Darade to thank him for accepting CREDAI-MCHI’s request and coming up with an initiative of the Amnesty scheme for Penal Fees for violating the combined consent regime.
He also assured complete support on all issues pertaining to the Environment Department.
Meeting with Shri Sunil Rathod (Chief Engineer, Development Planning, BMC) on February 28, 2024.
The CREDAI MCHI team met Shri Sunil Rathod and congratulated him for taking full charge as Chief Engineer of the Development Plan Department.
Shri Rathod thanked CREDAI-MCHI for its policy advocacy initiatives and assured full support for the holistic development of Mumbai.
